I spend in Ukraine almost whole month. First I was in Kramatorsk and visited local brewery. Unfortunately Kramatorsk brewery stopped bottling in May. I tasted beer only in the bar in the brewery. On the back way to Kiev I passed Kharkov and bought a few bottles of beer with new labels in supermarket. In Poltava I found new sorts of the local brewery. In Kiev I visited fair "Industry of beer and soft drinks 2004". In the fair I found a lot of novelties from different breweries. Week later I again traveled in Ukraine. This time I was in Chernovtsy in the west part of country. In Chernovtsy I met new beer series of beer which is brewing by "First Private Brewery" from Lvov. I took part in 16-th Breweriana Exchange meeting after returning to Kiev. Ukrainian beer adepts explained me that "First Private Brewery" is not new brewery but new name of "Galitsky Brewer". At the very end of October I spend two days in Austria. I had not so many free time, but I visited brewery-restaurant Siebensternbräu in Vienna. In Siebensternbräu I not only tasted beautifull beer but got a few new labels for my collection. Directly from Austria I went to Belgium. But it will be on October already. |
